Some Members of the OSSTF District 19 TBU HSA Plan will receive a special contribution in 2024.
Qualification for this special contribution was determined by OSSTF D19 TBU and required that a Member qualify as a contract member of District 19 TBU between 2024-02 and 2024-08, was actively working (full-time or part-time) and paying benefit premiums, or on leave and paying benefit premiums.
The contribution will cover their portion of premiums paid from 2024-02 to 2024-08 based on standard premium rates.
All Members who qualify for participation in the Plan will receive a Welcome Message to activate their accounts. Upon activation of the account, each Member will complete the setup process, which includes adding banking information for direct deposit. This special contribution will then be reimbursed through an automated claim reimbursement once direct deposit information has been entered.
Members will be able to view the claim pending reimbursement on their Member Centre dashboard.
To be eligible for this reimbursement, Members will have until 2026-08-31 to activate their accounts and update their banking information. If a Member does not activate their account and update their banking information by that date, they will not receive the reimbursement for premiums.
This contribution will be in addition to the $250 for those paying single premiums, and $500 for those paying family premiums, from 2024-09-01 to 2025-08-31.
