For a Provider (like a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Psychologist, etc.) to be eligible, they must be an Authorized Medical Practitioner in the province they're practicing in, and registered with the applicable regulatory body.
The CRA's website has a handy overview chart that breaks down provider eligibility by province.
If the Practitioner type is listed, and there's a checkmark under the province you're receiving treatment in, they're eligible in that province.
As for that 'applicable regulatory body' mumbo jumbo - we always double check if a Provider is registered with the applicable regulatory body when processing claims.
If you want to know if your Provider is eligible before going for treatment, you can definitely let us know their name, and we'd be happy to confirm.
